New York Giant Football

The New York Football Giants pulled off another win this week. It was a nail biting win but you know what they say... a win is a win. A 33-31 victory over division rival Dallas Cowboys gave the Giants their second win over a divison team this season leading them to a 2-0 record. Manning looked like he is finally ready to make his money for the team (25-38 w/ 330yds. & 2 TD's). Now that so many defenses focus their defensive gameplan around our running game it opens up the pass for Eli. Just because you stop our powerful running game doesn't mean you can hold us back through the air Cowboys. Giants young reveicing corp is quickly stepping up and filling in that void we lost last season with Burress. Mario Manningham is slowly looking like a number 1 receiver (10 Rec. for 150yds. with one amazing TD catch)... who thought a 3rd rounder with his profile would be Manning's guy. Steve Smith finally came into his own also coming down with 10 receptions for 134yds. and a TD. Fact of the matter is to avoid these nail biters our running game needs to progress the way it did last year. As for our defense; the secondary is shutdown however the run defense is kind of weak (Barber-124yds.w/ 6.9 YPC and Jones-96yds. w/ 13.7 YPC). It is possible the loss of Tuck opened up some holes for Barber and Jones but our d-line has so much depth we should be able to fill them and stop them from averaging so many yards per carry(YPC). Next is the Bucs in Tampa and we should go in there in walk out with a W as well. GO GIANTS!!!!
